Tuesday was a rainy day, with morning and afternoon showers of about one-half inch. That meant that the footing tile didn't get put in as we had planned. However, Bert did deliver the dollies that will go under the house. Three dollies, each with 8 wheels. The dollies, some planks, and other supplies were dropped at the house. I was fortunate to be present when Bert arrived, so I convinced him to do a posed photo and then shot a bit of video of "how to unload a dolly from a flatbed trailer." Bert's pretty much a "one-man show," doing nearly everything himself.
Bert and two of the three dollies. I wasn't fast enough to catch him before he had the first set off the trailer. And how does he unload them? See below:
How to Unload A House Moving Dolly
Three dollies, 24 wheels. The house will go up, they go under.
The plate in the center swivels in every direction and is on a jack.
No photo, but another accomplishment was Dennie the electrician installing a disconnect switch for the main electrical service. And, of course, we worked on salvaging and cleaning more bricks.
